Emma

Emma is a Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Representative at Annex Animal Hospital, where she’s been a part of the team since June 2025. Though new to the veterinary field, Emma brings a strong foundation in science and care through her background in marine biology (B.Sc.) with a minor in environmental science.

Before joining Annex, Emma worked in the healthcare field and recently returned from living abroad in Australia, where she spent a year working. Her academic focus included coral genetics and researching gene intervention strategies to improve coral resilience in the face of climate change, a topic she remains deeply passionate about.

Emma is especially interested in all animals but has a soft spot for marine life, particularly sharks. At Annex, she enjoys connecting with clients, supporting patient care, and continuing to grow her knowledge in a clinical setting surrounded by a supportive and compassionate team.

Outside of the clinic, Emma enjoys adventuring with her two dogs, Bodhi and Nala, who keep her on her toes and always entertained
