Welcome to Annex Animal Hospital in Toronto, Ontario

It can be confusing when there are so many veterinary hospitals in your area. We encourage you to ask questions about our staff and veterinary services. Ask about our suggestions for reducing anxiety when bringing your cat to see the doctor. While walking your dog, stop in for a brief introduction and a treat to give your dog a positive experience in the hospital. New clients and new pets are always welcome here.

Convenient Animal Hospital Hours in Downtown Toronto

We believe it is a privilege to be allowed to care for your pets. It is important to have an understanding of the level of care provided for your pets in the office and behind the scenes. Our standard of care for our patients encompasses safety, comfort, and compassion while practicing progressive, high-quality medicine with the assistance of modern medical equipment and diagnostic testing. Our veterinary care team has been carefully selected for their level of knowledge, experience, and proven ability to provide compassionate care. We employ Licensed Doctors of Veterinary Medicine and Registered Veterinary Technicians. Regular training and continuing education is a requirement for all of our team members.

We understand everyone has busy lives. For your convenience, we are open until 8 p.m. on weekdays and every Saturday until 3 p.m. Since we have a team of four veterinarians, we can provide appointments promptly when you need us. In Downtown Toronto, parking comes at a premium. We offer our clients complimentary parking to the rear of the hospital.

At Annex Animal Hospital, we firmly believe that pets are part of the family. Under our care, we will treat your pets with love, respect, and compassion as though they were one of our own pets. It is an honour and a privilege to be your “other family doctor.”

*NEW CLIENTS AND NEW PATIENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!*

As we approach the holiday season, please note our holiday hours:

December 24: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
December 25/26/27: Closed
December 31: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
January 1 and 2: Closed

Please order your pet's prescriptions and pet foods early during the holiday season to avoid delays. We require one week's notice for prescription refills. Our front door is currently open for picking up pre-ordered food and medications only. If you prefer not to come inside, please call upon arrival and we will be happy to bring your order outside.

Our veterinarians are currently seeing all patients by appointment ONLY. We are currently operating with both curbside and in office appointments. We have limited capacity to accommodate indoor appointments but please let us know your preference at the time of booking and we will do our very best to accommodate your request. Please note, for safety reasons, you will be asked to wait behind a clear screen while speaking with the veterinarian. Your pet will be examined by the veterinarian while one of our assistants holds them. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these appointments take a little longer than normal.

How do curbside / closed-door appointments work?
Please come to the back door for your appointment and call 416-537-3128 upon arrival. A veterinarian will speak with you over the phone and a veterinary assistant will come out to collect your pet for an examination. After examining your pet, the doctor will follow-up on the phone with their findings and recommendations. Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your pets. Please let us know in advance if they have any special needs.

How to collect food and prescription orders:
We can now allow up to 2 people inside the hospital to pick up prescriptions and food. Please call ahead at 416-537-3128.
