Registered Veterinary Technician
I have lived with, volunteered, and worked with animals my whole life, and have loved every moment of it, which eventually led me to my career as a registered veterinary technician. I have done drug testing on racehorses, volunteered at the Canadian Blood Bank, continue to volunteer at the trap/neuter/release clinics held at the Toronto Humane Society, as well as worked at various stables, zoo’s, and hospitals/clinics. I graduated from Sheridan College Institute of Science and Technology in 2013 with high honours. I joined the Annex Animal Hospital (AAH) in the winter of 2013. I particularly enjoy ensuring patient care and comfort and I have a special interest in diagnostics and animal behaviour. I fondly remember my first pets which were Grandma Willow the brown tabby and Mustard the orange tabby. My job allows me to reach out to animals in need of help, medical care, and affection, which I do so with love in my heart. My favourite thing about being a part of the family at the AAH is our constant vigilance to learn and grow towards maintaining the highest standard of medical care, as well as emotional care for all of our furry patients. I am the AAH’s Feline Advocate, which means I ensure cat/kittens have the least stressful appointment possible, as well as provide information on optimal cat care. I have two cats of my own, Luna and Boo, as well as a Chaco Golden Knee tarantula named Fluffy.
